mkdn.io is a hosted documentation platform built on the mkdnsite open-source project. Connect a GitHub repository and your Markdown files are instantly live at a subdomain of mkdn.io — no build step, no deployment pipeline.

How it works

  1. Sign in with your GitHub account at app.mkdn.io
  2. Connect a repo — paste your GitHub owner/repo and choose a subdomain
  3. Your docs go live at yoursubdomain.mkdn.io

Requests from browsers get rendered HTML. Requests from AI agents (with Accept: text/markdown) get the raw Markdown. One source of truth, two audiences.
